I was originally trained as a fashion designer in Vienna. After a number of other jobs and occupations I went to America, where I lived for twenty years in Maryland. This is where I learned pottery, at the University of Maryland, with Bob Schmitz, who was a wonderful teacher. After returning to Austria in 1985, I opened my workshop here in Moosbrunn and have potted here ever since. One other thing I do with pottery, I hold classes for children from the area, which have been very successful over the years. I put the limit at twenty, in four groups, and always have kids on the waiting list. They love it and so do I
